Education By Heart

What Are the Objectives of Our Project? The project aims to bring together Temporary Protection Status Syrian students, foreign national students, students with special educational needs, and typically developing students through various activities. This will make their achievements visible, promote social integration, and raise awareness in the community. Additionally, it will contribute to increasing the knowledge and awareness levels of students’ families and undergraduate students studying in education faculties.

What Do We Expect from This Project?

The aim of this project is to bring together Temporary Protection Status Syrian students, foreign national students, students with special educational needs, and typically developing students in fun and educational activities to make their achievements visible and promote social integration. Through games and competition activities, we intend to raise awareness in the community about disadvantaged groups. Furthermore, the goal is to increase the knowledge levels of the families of these groups and undergraduate students, leading to the development of positive attitudes towards them.

The project will design activities that include sports exercises and knowledge-enhancing exercises, ensuring that all individuals with special educational needs participate in essential educational periods. These activities will help showcase the achievements of disabled students. Additionally, Temporary Protection Status Syrian students and other foreign national students will have the opportunity to participate in activities alongside disabled individuals, fostering social integration. The reverse inclusion model adopted by the project will involve typically developing students participating in activities with disadvantaged groups. As a result, all three groups will engage in physical and knowledge-oriented games, promoting social integration and community awareness. The project aims to demonstrate that all individuals can participate in activities without separation from their peers, as long as appropriate adaptations are made according to individual needs.

Furthermore, through training provided to the families of the target groups and undergraduate students, the project will enhance their knowledge and contribute to the development of positive attitudes.
